In every group there was laughter, in many a few tears, and all of the groups we built a little community of conversation, diverse opinions and shared ideas. Here’s a small taste of some of the wonderful things that were said:
- For most of humankind’s history, we’ve lived in smaller villages or towns, and community was a very important part of life. There’s always a longing for that, and Portland Revels does a really good job of recreating it, at least for an evening.
- One of the things I just can’t get enough of is the believability of the families on stage. It’s just so fantastic. You can tell that those people really like each other.
- To me Revels has this bigger purpose than just entertaining people… It’s showing that different belief systems can be together in community.
