Artistic Director

Bruce holds an MFA in Directing from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, and has directed over one hundred theatre, musical, and opera productions throughout the USA and Canada. He worked as a producer for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, and also directed for OSF. Bruce has written four children’s operas that have toured the West Coast, several screenplays, and a full-length musical.

Robert Lockwood 
Music Director

Robert has been the Portland Christmas Revels Music Director since 1999. He is a published composer who has also taught elementary and middle school music at the Franciscan Montessori Earth School, and has sung with several choirs around town. He founded and led early music ensembles in Philadelphia and Portland and plays a number of instruments.




Betsy Branch 
Associate Music Director

Betsy joined Revels in 2006.  She arranges music for the Revels chorus and instrumental groups as well as appearing on stage with her fiddle in the Christmas Revels.  She has been teaching fiddle and violin out of her Portland home since 1999, and she plays regularly for contra and English Country dances both locally and all around the country.


Regina Pirruccello
Children’s Director

Regina joined the Revels team as Children’s Director in 2014.  Her experience as a collaborative artist, university adjunct instructor, music teacher and choir director includes 24 years teaching music and integrated arts at Buckman Arts Focus Elementary School in Portland PublicSchools.  Regina engages children to learn music experientially, through movement, self-expression, creativity and play.  She is a past president of the Portland Orff-Schulwerk Association.


Mark Douglass 
Community Chorus Director

Mark Douglass holds a Bachelors in Music Composition from Pacific Lutheran University, and has performed, composed, and conducted ensembles throughout the Pacific Northwest for over 30 years. He is a popular song leader and musical improvisation coach for for arts camps and gatherings, and can be found playing English country dance and Contradance piano up and down the I-5 corridor.
