Revels is probably the most important thing in my life besides my family. I have made so many friends here and learned so much from Robert and Betsy. I have almost never in my life felt as much a part of a community as I do with Revels. My very first year in Revels – 2011 — my mom had passed away early that year and there were horribly traumatic/abusive situations that a family member was creating in the aftermath. I had forgotten how to laugh or smile that year. Revels renewed me. Revels showed me that yes, the light does return. Revels let me experience joy again. Robert and Betsy were an enormous part of that, and I will miss them both terribly.
