Robert and Betsy have healed our hearts through music so many times. One particular rehearsal occurred after a major world event that broke many hearts. The chorus was feeling unanimously heavy and low energy, but Robert and Betsy gently forged forward through rehearsal. The show must go on after all! In the last ten minutes of that rehearsal Robert closed his music and asked us to do the same. Then he asked us to stand. He said, "I know you all know this song and I know we've sung it a thousand times, it does not need to be rehearsed... but right now the world needs us to sing it." Betsy gave him a note from her violin and Robert began to sing Dona Nobis Pacem. Give Us Peace. We all joined in the round and sang with eyes closed, tears rolling down our cheeks as we ended rehearsal by sending an intention of peace out into this broken world.
