Revels Rousers
We are a community of folks who love the Portland Revels but aren’t typically performers in Revels shows, including audience members, volunteers, families of cast members, former cast and crew, Revels community chorus, and more. We maintain a close and supportive relationship with the Portland Revels organization throughout the year, and serve as a portal for non-performers into the magical world of the Revels.
Revels Rousers activities include a mix of having fun and promoting our favorite performing arts organization! We socialize, act as ambassadors, help with marketing, outreach and fundraising, and more.
Our plans for the coming year include:
- Starting a Crafters/Makers Guild to produce items for sale at the Midwinter Revels Gift Shop
- Welcoming audience members at performances and sharing information about Revels traditions and touchstones
- Working with organizations (such as senior living facilities) to raise awareness of the ticketing and accessibility benefits Revels offers to large groups
- Posting news about upcoming shows in local community spaces and through social media and local news outlets
- Facilitating opportunities to share Revels magic in informal, “pop-up” performances in
various public spaces
And most importantly, gathering to connect with each other and share what we love about the Portland Revels!
