This year we are returning to the Scottish Rite, our long time home through 2012. We are thrilled to be returning to this historic building that has created so many magical Revels memories. Below is some information about the venue – read on to learn more about what to expect and what we have planned for this year!
Where is the Scottish Rite?
The Scottish Rite is located in SW Goose Hollow neighborhood, not far from Providence park to the west and Interstate 405 to the east. It is a historical building that is now reopening as a performance space available for rent. The street address is 709 SW 15th Avenue.
Where should I park?
Street parking around the Scottish Rite is extremely limited. Parking is metered from 8am-7pm Monday-Saturday, and 1-7pm on Sundays. There are also a number of paid parking lots within walking distance of the Scottish Rite.

How do I get to the theatre if I am not driving?
A number of bus lines as well as the light rail are all accessible within a few blocks of the Scottish Rite, including:
The Blue & Red Line (Providence Park)
Bus lines 15, 18, 20, 24, 26 & 63
What time should I arrive, where do I go and what should I expect?
We encourage patrons to arrive between 20 and 35 minutes BEFORE curtain time. This will help to prevent a long line from forming outside of the building, and get you and your party in out of the cold more quickly. It will also give you time to visit our gift shop and purchase concessions!
Come to the main door on SW Morrison to check in by last name. Please have either your digital tickets pulled up or printed tickets in hand when you arrive at the theatre so that we can check you in quickly, and our ushers can help you find your seats.
There are two seating areas – the main floor and the balcony. It is important to note that seating in the balcony is NOT ADA accessible.
Where are the bathrooms in the Scottish Rite Center?
There are bathrooms located on each level of the Scottish Rite – the first floor, down a few steps from the entrance, the main floor of the performance space, as well as on the balcony level.
Can we purchase food and drink on site? What else is available in the lobby?
We will be offering concessions this year, including candy and other snacks, as well as water and soft drinks. These will be available in the ballroom downstairs from the performance space. Intermission orders can be taken and paid for before the show begins, and will be available for pick up at the start of intermission.
In addition, our annual gift shop and raffle will be open starting 30 minutes before each performance, as well as during intermission. The gift shop will feature work by local artisans, including many members of the Revels community! Bread & Roses clothing and other items will also be available to order. Is the space ADA accessible?
All floors of the Scottish Rite are ADA accessible via an elevator. The ADA Accessible entrance is on Morrison street, to the west of the main door. An usher will greet you and escort you to the elevator to access the ballroom and/or performance space. The ADA entrance is available for any patrons who are not comfortable navigating stairs. Please contact our box office at boxoffice@portlandrevels.org if you plan to use the entrance and are not buying a wheelchair seat. Box office will contact you with more information as we get closer to performances. Anyone who is unable or uncomfortable navigating stairs should purchase tickets on the main floor.
If a member of my party uses a wheelchair or has mobility challenges, what should they expect?
All patrons who purchase wheelchair and companion seats will be contacted by our Box Office in order to discuss your arrival and ensure that your experience in the theatre is comfortable, straightforward and enjoyable! This service will also be provided to any patron who contacts us about using the ADA entrance.
Anyone who does not want to/is unable to navigate stairs is welcome to use the ADA entrance. If a member of your party plans to use the ADA entrance, but is NOT purchasing an ADA seat, please contact our Box Office at 503-274-4654 to let us know.
The ADA entrance is staffed with an usher who will greet patrons at the ADA entrance and escort them to the elevator that will take them to the performance space. Once there, additional ushers will show you to your seats. At the end of the performance, members of the front-of-house team will escort folks to the elevator, and there will be additional staff waiting to support your exit out of the building via the ADA entrance/exit.
The main floor seating, ballroom and all bathrooms are all fully accessible. Please note that the balcony is NOT ADA accessible. Anyone who is unable or uncomfortable navigating stairs should purchase tickets on the main floor.
